The trick for all of this will be to begin with a plan. I will have to have a high-level general outline of what I have in mind. From there it’s easy enough to add pages of content. Obsidian makes for a very easy place to work on the desktop. iA Writer with Working Copy covers everything I need on iOS.
I have the tools and infrastructure now to write a book. The missing part is going to be the content. What will it be about? How do I mix my personal writing with AI assisted writing?
This works well because the required front matter is very light weight. The book plugin engine does all the heavy lifting. I just need a directory of pages to test out.
I could start with a smaller book sample. Maybe open the Crusades history I started and divide it out into smaller sub sections. That would be a good place to start. Then I can leverage the book structure to keep building up the page content.
I wonder if using Codex locally to write to my notes folders could be a more efficient way to write too.
Keeping to fewer pages on the screen will also help. I don’t need 1000 word chapters. In many cases 300 to 500 words makes for a comfortable page.
